Diamond blades come in a range of sizes and types yet they can typically fall into categories depending on their intended use. They can cut most materials including green & green concrete, stone, mansory, tile, brick & block, and even steel.
Lower cost, higher volume blades use either a vacuum brazed or sintered attachment process. Vacuum brazed and sintered blades are intended for dry cutting soft material on low horsepower equipment. Laser welding is generally accepted as being the safest and most secure method of attaching the diamond and the bond to the rim. The energy from the laser melts and combines the metal of the diamond segment and the steel core creating a stronger weld.
